“Healthy Body Reboot, I Did It!” Part 1

Well I did it!

My goal was to go through a 4 week body reboot eating nothing but fruits and vegetables and I did it!

I was inspired by a documentary titled Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead with Joe Cross.  The documentary followed his amazing journey as he juiced this way to a healthier lifestyle.

What is a Reboot?

A period of time where you commit to drinking and eating only fruits and vegetables, herbal teas and water in order to regain or sustain your vitality, lose weight and kick-start healthy habits that recharge your body and get your diet back in alignment for optimal wellness.

In Genesis 1:29, God created us as “plant eaters”…And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

That tells me that every thing we need to nourish out bodies are within herb bearing seed plants.

My Journey

Migraine Headaches

I suffer from migraine headaches and over the past 1-1/2 years they have continually escalated. At times these headaches render me helpless and I find myself bedridden for 3-4 days. Afterwards, I’m physically exhausted. I’ve seen 6 specialist and have had numerous test, all of my test results are good and no explantation can be given as to the sudden on set of migraines.

Growing up I would experience a migraine about once every couple of years but lately it could be as much as two to three times a month. I’ve removed a whole list of foods from my diet in an effort to get them under control and it’s helped but I’m still bothered by the fact that I have them at all…BUT I am believing and trusting God for a healing from all migraines and I know this juicing reboot is moving me in the right direction.

Ischemic Optic Neuropathy

Over the past summer, I was diagnosed with Ischemic Optic Neuropathy. IOP is an infarction of the optic disk. The only constant symptom is painless vision loss and currently there is no treatment. I spent numerous weeks running from specialist to specialist with no real explanation, although some of the specialist say migraines can be a trigger for the sudden loss of vision but they don’t all agree. All of my test results were good to great in terms of my overall health.

Visual loss is usually sudden or develops over a few days at most and is commonly unilateral, although second eye involvement may occur later. The visual loss is usually permanent, with some recovery possibly occurring within the first weeks or months.

Results?

I’ve been looking for a way to take control of my health and body and when I watched Sick, Fat and Nearly Dead, I knew what I had to do!

So you say your interested in the outcome of my juicing journey.  Join me next week as I share the outcomes thus far.
