If you haven’t seen the documentary Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead  with Joe Cross and his amazing journey to reboot his health, then it’s an absolute must see today on Netflix. If you have then you should be ready to follow in Joe’s footsteps…I know I’m ready.

Reboot with Joe CrossMy Journey

For me it’s really not about losing weight, although I could stand to drop about 10-15 pounds and will not be upset if that happens, but I’m more focused on the health benefits of the program.

I suffer from migraine headaches and over the past 1-1/2 years they have continually escalated.  At times these headaches render me helpless and I find myself bedridden for 3-4 days.  Afterwards, I’m physically exhausted.  I’ve seen 6 specialist and have had numerous test, all of my test results are good and no explantation can be given as to the sudden on set of migraines.

Growing up I would experience a migraine about once every couple of years but lately it could be as much as two to three times a month.   I’ve removed a whole list of foods from my diet in an effort to get them under control and it’s helped but I’m still bothered by the fact that I have them at all…BUT I am believing and trusting God for a healing from all migraines.

About four months ago, I was diagnosed with Ischemic Optic Neuropathy.  IOP is an infarction of the optic disk.  The only constant symptom is painless vision loss and currently there is no treatment.  Again, all of my test results are good and no explanation can be given  to the sudden loss of vision that I have experienced…BUT I am believing and trusting God for a healing and complete recovery of my vision.

When I watched Sick, Fat and Nearly Dead, I knew I had to give the reboot a try in an effort to better manage my health. Today, is day 2 for me and I don’t have to tell you how hungry I am at this very moment.  I could eat a horse!

What is a Reboot?

A period of time where you commit to drinking and eating only fruits and vegetables, herbal teas and water in order to regain or sustain your vitality, lose weight and kick-start healthy habits that recharge your body and get your diet back in alignment for optimal wellness.

I’m really excited to be on this journey.  I know that eating healthy is important no matter what we do in our lives and not matter what challenges we may be facing.

In Genesis 1:29, God created us as “plant eaters”…And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

That tells me that every thing we need to nourish out bodies are within herb bearing seed plants. Pray for me and with me as I journey on this road to better health.
