“Lord Please Fill My Prescription”

In the mornings when I wake up I say, “Lord please fill my prescription, I need a daily dose of You!”  How many of you know we don’t have to do anything in our own strength?  With God all things are possible so why start the day trying to do things in your own strength when He has everything you need to get you through the challenges you face.

I say daily, “it is my free will to give You my free will”…LOL; I’m not kidding.  Why in the world would anyone want to do things in their own limited, fleshly, earthly will?  Your will is limited by the things of this earth and this realm.  The “Will of God” has no boundaries.  His “Realm” created this realm…did you get that?

Matthew 7:7-11 says, “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 8For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. 9Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? 10Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? 11If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?”

Daily Dose

Since the number seven is often found throughout the bible involving completeness or divine perfection, I say Lord, I need 7 milligrams each. My daily dosage request consist of the following:

  • 7 mg of God’s Spirit
  • 7 mg of God’s Will
  • 7 mg of God’s Love
  • 7 mg of God’s Forgiveness
  • 7 mg of God’s Counsel
  • 7 mg of God’s Knowledge and Capacity
  • 7 mg of God’s Wisdom, Understanding and Revelation
  • 7mg of God’s Discernment
  • 7 mg of The Word of God
  • 7 mg of The Power & Authority of God
  • 7 mg of The Peace of God
  • 7 mg of The Favor of God
  • 7 mg of The Prosperity of God (for my health, family, relationships, business, and wealth)
  • 7 mg of The Fear of God (that I am in reverence Him)

Yep, that my daily dosage request and affirmation.  Everything I need to get me through the day; one day at a time. It’s actually my right by law to have all of these gifts.  Yes, you heard me.  I am a child of the Most High God and by law, as His child, I have access to an inheritance that belongs to me and you better believe I’m going to claim all of it!

It’s Yours Claim It!

What’s the point of being rich if you walk around in pauper cloths trying to prove to someone that you understand what it’s like to be poor.  Come on…do you really believe for one second that in the back of that person’s mind they’re not thinking about the fact that there’s an exit strategy for them, at any point and time.  They can immediately go back to their posh life?

I use to work of an individual, lets call him Jack.  Jack was married an extremely wealthy woman, lets call her Jill.  Well, Jack thought it was noble to act like he was a pauper (aka poor).  We worked at a not-for-profit agency at that time and he thought because he did not take a salary he related to the people.  You see the agency was a anti-proverty agency.  Now let’s examine how crazy this really is and I mean it’s really crazy.

Jack, although he did not take a salary, still lived in a mansion in the wealthiest neighborhood in the city.  His kids were in private school (the number one private school in the city), they had maids and gardeners and they took unbelievable vacations.  Now when I tell you Jill was rich, I mean rich.  Her net worth was in the hundreds of millions of dollars.  So you see his lifestyle did change.  He was just playing poor.  We would have deep heated discussions about this often.  When I resigned from that agency, he begged me to stay.  Why, because I was the only one willing to call him on the carpet for what he was doing.  Don’t get me wrong, there is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to help and relate to the people you’re serving.  But that just wasn’t the way.  He was never poor, going to be poor and didn’t even grow up poor as a child.  He just played poor.

My point, He would be more effective representing his cause by accepting who he is; he never once offered to move out of that mansion or give up one of those vacations for the cause…LOL.  So why are you playing poor?  Why don’t you accept who you are so you can better fight for your cause.  You are not poor in way.  Your Father lives in a mansion.  Where do you live?  Why do you accept poverty as your inheritance.

That’s what I love about God.  He doesn’t play.  Jesus didn’t have but one way out.  No pretense.  If Jesus was going to be our Lord and Savior he had to walk the same path that we would have to walk.  His Father was right there with him and God could have given him an exit strategy at any point and time but He didn’t.  He asked His Father for the same strength you and I have access to (today, right now) so he could endure what was ahead of him (read Luke chapter 22).

God’s not playing about your inheritance either.  He owns all the cattle on the hill and He owns the Hill.  This prescription is a gift from God.  We are heirs to our Father’s gifts and blessings.  When you wake up in the morning what’s on your mind?  What’s the first thing you’re thinking about in the mornings, because that’s what you’re depending on to get you through the day.  I sure hope you’re waking up thinking about that daily dose of completeness and divine perfection from God.  I hope you’re thinking about the gifts and the promises He’s given you to make it through each and every day.  I pray you have accepted who you are as a child of the Most High God.  How much more, if we ask.
