I came across this powerful, thought provoking message by Sharon Nesbitt titled “Enlarging Your Capacity” and wanted to share it with you. It’s one of those life altering messages, if your heart is open and ready to be impregnated with this seed. I heard Juanita Bynum mention it in one of her teachings and I knew if Juanita thought it was powerful then it was absolutely worth hearing and she was right.
Sharon shares a lot of information in this message and she talks fast, so be ready. She shares about the laws of thought (your mind, will, emotion and imagination), confession (the omologia which means “to say the same thing” AND THEN “agree”) and faith (to live by and operate in). She talks about the two types of word, rhema (the spoken word) and logos (the inspired word) and she gave scripture to support everything she covered.
Once she covered each of those areas in some detail she then began to talk about enlarging your capacity. How can God give you something if you do not have the power to receive it? II Kings, chapter 4, tells the story about Elisha and the widow who was about to receive a blessing from God but she had no capacity. Elisha told her to borrow as many jars as she could from “all” of her neighbors (not just a few he told her) and begin to pour oil from her full bottle into the jars she borrowed from her neighbors. As she did this her one bottle filled up all of the jars she borrowed…WOW!
What’s so amazing about the timing of this message for me was on Monday, I’d just read the book of II Kings and on Tuesday, I watched this video. Yesterday (Thursday), I was doing an interview at this farm in Moorpark, CA. Many of you know I eat only plant-based foods now and have received healing from my journey on becoming a vegan. Now this farm isn’t just any old farm, this family-owned business has been around since the late 1800’s and they have been the suppliers of national food brands for years.
The farm has a program called “pick your own” where customers can pick all of the fresh crops they want right out of the grown. After the interview, I wondered the farm enjoying the beauty of God’s creations and began to pick all of the fresh seasonal vegetables I wanted (strawberries, red lettuce, green lettuce, romaine lettuce, carrots, beets, turnips, oranges, grapefruits, squash, peas, boysenberries and lemons).
As I was making my way to the check out counter, there was a small market where you could get other vegetables from a second location the farm owns such as cherries, blueberries, tomatoes, leaks, green onions, avocados, asparagus, potatoes, ginger and more so I loaded up a large wagon of food. Finally, making my way to the check out counter, the cashier told me everything in my wagon was a gift from the farm and I didn’t have to pay for anything! Not only did I get everything for free but everyone that was with me received all of their food for free as well! What a blessing! The Holy Spirit told me that going vegan would heal my body and that stepping out of my comfort zone (which for me was the field of finance) to do something that makes me extremely uncomfortable (on camera interviews) would bless me. It has been like that everywhere I go.
When we began to enlarge our minds we open it up to the revelation of what God has already done. Did you catch that? There is nothing God is currently working on for you. It is done. It is finished. There are jars full of oil, running over in heaven with your name on it waiting on you to enlarge your capacity and pray it down? When you enlarge your thinking you began to multiple, increase, and become greater in your purpose. Everything about you becomes bigger not just your thinking. Your thinking is what creates the capacity for the revelation to begin to flow in your life. Everything is increased including your heart, mind, talk, walk, vision, confession, learning, hope, peace, knowledge, desires, happiness, relationships, wealth, health, wisdom, network, and territory. With God, it is limitless! He has no boundaries and neither do you. I love when Sharon says, “you don’t pray up, you pray down”. Not that’s a sermon right there.
Sharon shares in her message that God is always progressive, He only moves forward, never backwards. If something is taking you backwards, it’s not God. Your vision is what you see, your purpose is why you see it and your goal is how you’re going to get there. How many of you have a vision for where you going and what God has called you to do? If you don’t know you should ask God “who am I and what have You called me to do.”
This is a must listen to, take notes and then listen to again message. This message is going to bless you!
May Your Steps Fulfill Their Purpose & You Enlarge Your Capacity!
