“Grace Like A Wave” has such positive energy. As I was listening to the song this morning, it made me wonder does everyone really know and understand the depth of God’s Grace toward us?
Grace is God. It is the free and unmerited favor of God. It is His un-coerced initiative. It is His demonstrations of care and favor toward his people (just look around you today…it’s everywhere).
Grace is the core principle of the Bible and it culminates with the coming of Jesus Christ in the Gospel of John. The word is used 131 times in the King James Version of the New Testament and comes from the Greek word charis, which means “favor, blessing, or kindness.”
As Christians, we should all learn to extend favor, blessings and kindness to one another. That’s what the God in us should do as our Father’s children. But “absolutely nothing” we do could ever compare to the “Grace of God the Father”. God’s Grace chose to bless us rather than curse us. To extend us mercy even when we’re not deserving. To heal us and make us whole again. To give us unconditional Love. God is Love. God is Grace.
May your steps fulfill their purpose and show favor, blessings and kindness to those around you today.
