Monday morning, I was in a Christian book store in Las Vegas, Nevada, looking for reference materials to help me study the bible. I came across a bible study guide that actually goes along with the movie “The War Room”. I hadn’t seen the movie yet but was drawn to the study guide.
When I opened the book there was a quiz for you to take about your relationship with Christ. It was perfect, just what I wanted. Lately, I’ve felt the pressure of distractions trying to steal my time away from God. I feel like I’m in a fight each and everyday when I get up to pray. Distractions are the worse because they can render you “lukewarm”.
Later that afternoon, I went out to the OneChurch LA website to catch up on Pastor Roberts latest sermon since I’ve been on the road traveling with my husband and wasn’t at church on Sunday. As soon as I saw the title I knew it was for me “Stay Hot”.
15 “I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish that you were one or the other! 16 But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth!
I tell you, if you want to find God, He is always there looking for you. Looking to guide you and give you the feedback and confirmation you need to continue to push forward.
I hope this message speaks to you and that it helps you refocus on what’s most important in your life. God is the “love of my life” and He is the most important thing to me. I will keep fighting in my full armor and stay hot for the Lord.
May Your Steps Fulfill Their Purpose.
