Commanding Your Morning
“Commanding Your Morning” is one of those “must have” daily devotional books that a very close high school friend shared with me. It’s been amazing having her friendship on this journey; you never know when God will use someone to bless you or use you to be a blessing to others.
Because of her obedience to His request, she purchased this book and mailed it to me while I was living in Oklahoma. Like Mary, Esther and Ruth, she did what God asked her to do and it has enriched my personal prayer and meditation with God and now I get to share it with you.
So many times we miss God’s instruction because we believe what we do for others should be big, fancy, and pricey; or it doesn’t matter or have value. Not true, a $15.99 morning devotional book helped me grow closer to God and desire to be in His Presence all the more.
Thoughts and Words Have Power
Your thoughts are a magnetic field. Words and throughs are transmitted like a shortwave radio signal. Your thoughts create something like a magnetic field around you while your words provide a kind of spiritual homing device that attracts either positive people, things and experiences or negative people, things and experiences. Therefore, you must learn to fill your mind with good, goodly, and great thoughts. What you think has the power to literally transform your life.
Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. (Philippians 4:8, NLY)
