“There is a time and a season for everything under the sun.” Ecclesiastes 3:1
It’s interesting. I have read the scripture above so many times and actually quoted it myself to others. When someone would share their concerns or desires about something they were waiting for, I would say, “There is a time and a season for everything. We must wait on God for His timing.”
However, a few days ago I was listening to Juanita Bynum – Get Out of the Way on YouTube (https://youtu.be/qmkd6sGegdA) and she was talking about missing God’s timing. Immediately my spirit leaped. When the right time comes will I recognize it? Will I be ready? Will I put off what God has sent me because it does not appear to be the right time for me? Let me share with you what happened to me.
I had been praying to God about writing these blogs, getting an editor and for Him to provide more ideas about which to write. Sometime later, I had forgotten about my prayer and all of sudden these great ideas started downloading from heaven into my head. They came so fast and were so many that I started a file for just blog topics. I was thinking, “God, this is so awesome! Thank You!
Later, within a two week span a friend was over visiting and out of the blue she said to me, “Hey, I will edit your blogs.” I thought, “What?!” God sent me someone who volunteered to be my editor! I was so excited! Now here is the crazy part about all of this: before all these things happened I heard God say, “I want you to start posting blogs daily.” I said to God, “You mean Monday – Friday, right? Because I am working full-time.” He said, “No. Everyday.” My response: “I don’t know anyone who sends out something daily.” God’s response: “Joyce Meyer.” After that I chose not to say anything at all. I just thought, okay, well when I am no longer working full-time I will do them daily.
I am sharing this with you because I almost missed God’s timing. This is my season to write blogs daily. I don’t know how I am going to do it but I trust God. When God brings things to us it may never be in the timing or the way we expect. We must be very careful not to miss our season because things are not aligned according to our plans. God’s ways are not our ways and his thoughts not our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8). We just have to be ready and line up with him.
